About Us

I’m the proud owner of Foam Wedding Flowers and Gifts, working with my daughter Georgia at our beautiful shop in Maghull, North Liverpool.

I’ve always loved flowers! The beauty, the texture, the smell! The way that they can transform a room, a space, an object from something plain to truly extraordinary! 

At just 12 years old I started helping in a local florist and I literally blossomed, working at weekends until I was 15 and then full-time, when I studied floristry at college to level III City & Guilds.

I took a break from floristry when I started a family, working part-time jobs whilst caring for my daughters Gemma and Georgia, but a few years later my best friend asked me to do her wedding flowers and I couldn’t resist! The rest is history! I was back where I belonged and started running the business from my conservatory at home. 

The demand for artificial flowers was increasing week by week, it was an obvious direction for my little home business and provided more options for our bride and groom’s special day. I left the fresh flower world behind me (I still love a fresh flower) and focused on crafting beautiful arrangements with foam flowers from a purpose-built workshop in my garden, but it wasn’t enough, the posies and peonies were taking over and I had no boundary between home and work. 

I took a leap, transforming a derelict porta cabin at a local garden centre into my first shop in January 2015, and I couldn’t be happier! 

Business was blooming, with couples coming from all over the UK to order their bridal flowers, some for destination weddings and many simply appreciating the versatility of choosing artificial, with no limits on seasonal flowers and colours! 

Two years later, I moved to larger premises and created my sanctuary, expanding the business to fashion floral gifts and decorations to suit all occasions, from insta-worthy flower walls and frames to Christmas wreaths and centre pieces.

There’s so much you can do with flowers and I’m always thinking of new ideas for my customers and working with them to make their dreams a reality!
